We had a 10 hour drive today, but with numerous stops it wasn't bad. We drove through forests, over the Middle Atlas Mountains, through the pre-desert and some of the terrain looked like the Grand Canyon. We had a surprise stop on the side of the road where some Barbary Apes gathered, and some friendly dogs.
We arrived at our desert auberge (simple hotel) on the edge of the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert.
